I skimmed the official forums for a moment and found a few threads which might be useful information:

Here some overview information on our new Server. It seems to be written by a spaniard and I dunno how accurate everything is, some things sound pretty much like opinion-based.

A thread called "new transfers, things you need to know". The initial post was made by a pirate.

Some pirate skill builds/templates, posted by the same guy.

In short, it seems the Rack (as they call it) claims to be the server with the best pvp players or the highest challenge for that. Another claim is that the pirates haven't really been that organized so far. The server is on round 2, the Spaniards had won round 1.

I wonder if those claims are all true and if we really will have a harder time being ganked and stuff. Ganking seems to be common among the other people on the Rack, so expect to be 6vs1 ganked if you head into any red zone alone.

I've gotten home right on time to be in the first port battle on Rackham (was earlier today at noon PST). We were 10 pirates against 12 Spaniards and attacked Gibara. I have pretty much gotten the opposite impression about the people there than when you read the posts I linked above.
All the pirates were easygoing and said they wanted to have fun. See here:

We approached the port where all the Spaniards were lined up waiting for us.

After some skirmishing and without anybody on either side dying, they went and landed, we did the same, loaded into the fort and got all whacked when loading in hehe.
